The Netherlands Institute in Turkey and the Netherlands Consulate-General in Istanbul cordially invite you to the panel discussion:

Urban Encounters: Everyday Experience of
Diversity in the City

The panel will take place on April 26 in the ANAMED auditorium. It will explore the everyday experience of diversity through an ethnographic lens concentrating on the various aspects of urban life such as commerce, dwelling, and use of public spaces whereby different socio-cultural groups come into contact. In addition to uncovering the various patterns of encounter in cross-cultural settings and migrant neighborhoods in Turkey and the Netherlands, the panel will focus on what sorts of insights can be derived from different cases regarding the discussions about livable cities and inclusivity.

This panel discussion is the opening act of the 2019's series "Meetings on Diversity and the Liveable City" co-organized by the NIT and the Netherlands Consulate-General in Istanbul.
