Vision
Koç University Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (ANAMED) is a scientific center in Istanbul that aims to support, disseminate, and increase the quality and quantity of research on Turkish history, archaeology, museology, and cultural heritage management.
It aims to increase awareness of the contributions and interactions of Anatolian civilizations with other major world civilizations; to develop programs for the documentation, conservation and preservation of archaeology and cultural heritage; and to contribute to our understanding of contemporary Turkish culture and society through the study of history and archaeological archives.
Mission
The Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (ANAMED) aims to develop and support research projects dedicated to the history, art, architecture and archaeology of civilizations in Turkey through fellowships, publications, exhibitions, symposia and a library.
